Introduction About BALILA CAPSULE
BALILA CAPSULE contains Diazoxide which belongs to the group of medicines called Hypoglycemia-manageing agents. BALILA CAPSULE is used in the management of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) in patients affected with medical conditions such as inoperable islet cells (pancreatic cells involved in synthesizing hormones), and/or adenomatosis (rare disease characterized by multiple lesions in liver).
BALILA CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Diazoxide. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from functional hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar level due to poor nutrition/diet).
Before taking BALILA CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you suffer from gout (pain & swelling in joints), and/or have high blood pressure, liver disease, kidney disease, or heart disease.
BALILA CAPSULE is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy and in breastfeeding women unless it is considered clearly necessary.
The medicine is advised to be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and in elderly patients (aged 60 years and above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking BALILA CAPSULE are edema (fluid retention associated with symptoms such as swelling of legs/arms, stiff joints), abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, increased heart rate, and/or pounding heartbeat. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.

How BALILA CAPSULE Works
BALILA CAPSULE works by managing release of insulin hormone from Pancreas which results in normalization of blood sugar level in the body thus managing hypoglycaemia in affected individuals.
How to use BALILA CAPSULE
Take BALILA CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of BALILA CAPSULE
Common
- signs of edema (fluid retention) such as swelling of legs/arms, stiff joints, and/or rapid weight gain
- sodium retention
- abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
- increased heart rate, pounding heartbeat.
How To Manage Side Effects
Diarrhea
Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Try to avoid taking any medicine on your own to manage diarrhea. Consult and inform your doctor if the symptoms worsen.
Nausea And Vomiting
Take BALILA CAPSULE with/just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich/spicy foods, sugary snacks and drinks. Avoid drinking too much liquid along with your meals, and drink slowly in between meals. Consult your doctor if the condition worsens.

Liver

Allergy
ContraindicatedDo not take BALILA CAPSULE if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Diazoxide, and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Heart Disease
